(*affiliate link) Glad we made it to Day 3 of the 7 Days of easy Valentine’s Day eye look!

This time the eye look was inspired by the teal eyeshadow (Elevate) from the Rare Beauty Confident Energy eyeshadow palette *. Noticing a blue and green eyeshadow trend this year, I think this is a fun eyeshadow look regardless!

I love the quality and performance of this teal shade Elevate in the Confident Energy palette. It is a very unique shade but I still think you can easily find similar shades in larger colorful palettes like those from Morphe * and bh Cosmetics * if you don’t have this Rare Beauty palette.

Looking at this color story I created for this look from these palettes, I feel really need to pat myself on the back! haha. I like the combination of cool browns and teal, plus the jewel tone green from the Tom Ford quad. This can easily be my favorite look so far.

Once again, I feel amazed by the Rare Beauty Confident Energy palette. The shades in it don’t seem to go together very well in the first glance, but after using it for a while, I think it is very well thought-out and a very well-rounded accent palette for many eye looks.

Moreover, the Milani Gilded Coast eyeshadow palette * is another excellent palette. Although I didn’t write a dedicated review on this palette, it is top-notch in many aspects: very smooth and pigmented shades. Whether it is a matte or a shimmer, their qualities are all similarly good and consistent. Given a blue or dark eyeshadow isn’t easy to make, they nailed it.

How this look was created

  1. Run the cool/grey brown from the Milani Gilded Coast eyeshadow palette * onto the crease as the transition
  2. Deepen the outer corner with the dark brown from the ILIA The Necessary Eyeshadow Palette in Cool Nude *
  3. Pat the shade Elevate (teal) from the Rare Beauty Confident Energy Eyeshadow Palette * onto the last 2/3 of the lid from the tear duct with the finger, repeat until it reaches the color intensity you want. Use the finger to blend out the line between the teal shade and the dark brown at the outer corner. Also blend out the top edge with the cool brown from the Milani palette with a brush
  4. Use the finger or a brush, put the green shade from the Tom Ford quad onto the remaining 1/3 of the lid near the tear duct.
  5. Highlight the inner corner with the shade Will-powder (a very pale lime shade) from the Confident Energy palette
  6. Highlight the brow bone with the fair beige shade from the Milani palette
  7. Draw the wing with the Sephora liquid liner in Ocean Waves (or any navy blue liner)
  8. Finish off with the Dior Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Mascara in 090 black *
