(* affiliate link) Today we are looking at the Sigma Beauty Hazy On-The-Go eyeshadow palette *! This Hazy eyeshadow palette is one of the six 9-pan On-The-Go eyeshadow palettes that Sigma Beauty has came out recently. Among all 6 of them, this Hazy palette caught my eye the most! Although I am tempted to pick up one or two more of these Sigma Beauty On-The-Go palettes as they are all stunning!
The packaging is very simple and handy for travel, which these palettes are intended to be. There is no mirror, and it is a cardboard packaging with magnetic closure, it feels sturdy.

About the Sigma Beauty Hazy On-The-Go eyeshadow palette
The Sigma Beauty Hazy On-The-Go eyeshadow palette retails for $29 USD. It contains 0.32 oz or 9 g of product in total. This palette is made in China.
There are 5 mattes, 2 shimmers (Fanciful, Daydreamer), 1 glittery (duochrome) topper (Wisteria) and 1 metallic (Bellflower).
From Sigma Beauty’s website *, they describes some of the shade to be a duochrome (Wisteria). I actually only can see the purple from this shade but not a green shift. Some of the other shimmery shades are interesting and pretty unique in my opinion.
Like they describe Fanciful and Daydreamer as simply shimmers, I think they are different from regular shimmers from other palettes. These are very reflective and sparkly in a positive way! And also speaking of Daydreamer, at first sight, I almost thought it was a duochrome but Sigma Beauty doesn’t say so, and I also don’t see a clear shift either, although it’s giving me a duechrome vibe somehow!
Ingredients and formulation of the Sigma Beauty Hazy On-The-Go eyeshadow palette
There is no talc in this Sigma Beauty Hazy On-The-Go eyeshadow palette! Hooray for that! For the matte shades, they use nylon-12 as the main ingredient, except Melancholy, which uses mica. This is the first time I see this ingredient for matte shades! I honestly don’t feel any difference between other mattes which is mainly made of talc or mica, if not better!
However, for all other non-matte shades in this Hazy palette, dimethicone is the first ingredient. Beware if you are sensitive to this ingredient in particular.
According to Sigma Beauty, these 9-pan On-The-Go eyeshadow palettes, including this Hazy eyeshadow palette, are designated as Sigma Clean Beauty Product. Much like the Clean products in Sephora, these are devoid of a list of harmful or controversial ingredients. I am happy to see beauty brands start to be more careful about ingredient selection and I hope this trend will spread out more to all the luxury and affordable brands in the near future!
This Sigma Beauty Hazy On-The-Go eyeshadow palette is also PETA approved, lactose free and gluten free. There is also absolutely no smell from the shadows.
For the formulation of this Sigma Beauty Hazy On-The-Go eyeshadow palette, I think it is fantastic! The eyeshadows are soft, very easy to pick up, and the shimmers are magnificent! I appreciate that the shimmers are very lightweight, and yet very pigmented and beautiful on the lid. They are definitely the thick formula found in some affordable brands. Even the more sheer topper shade (Wisteria) is not flaky and very easy to work with. It is beautiful to be used as a finish shade on the lid.
This is the first Sigma Beauty eyeshadow in my collection and I am very impressed with both the color story and the quality of their eyeshadows!
Swatches for the Sigma Beauty Hazy On-The-Go eyeshadow palette
This is a solid palette! The eyeshadows in this Hazy palette all swatched very well. The darkest shade (Melancholy) may be a little patchy, but nothing major, given darker shades are harder to be extremely smooth.
The shimmers are beautiful. Both Bellflower and Daydreamer look a bit like a duochrome to me, but they do not have a clear shift to another color imo.
Some of the mattes I need to do 2 layers for them to show up brighter on my skin tone. They are buildable and I have no issue in blending the shades on my eye lid with a brush.
Comparing Colourpop Making Mauve palette with the Sigma Beauty Hazy On-The-Go eyeshadow palette
It doesn’t seem obvious to me that these 2 palettes are similar at first sight by only looking at the palettes. It was the swatch that rang the bell! I think the Sigma Beauty Hazy On-The-Go eyeshadow palette appears deeper than its swatches, while it was the opposite for the Colourpop Making Mauve palette!
As the Making Mauve palette is one of my most beloved color stories in my collection, no wonder why I like the Sigma Beauty Hazy On-The-Go eyeshadow palette a lot as well!
There are a couple shades very similar in both palettes. They may not be identical, but almost indistinguishable on the eye lids.
Looking at the swatches side-by-side, I think I still love the Making Mauve palette more. It is more a daily workplace-friendly palette for me! Plus it is half the price of the Hazy palette!
2 eye looks created using the Sigma Beauty Hazy On-The-Go eyeshadow palette
I like this look, it is very sultry and pretty! The eyeshadows blend themselves well and it is an easy look to create with this Hazy palette! It is a nighttime look for me. There is no fallout even it is a smokey look! Impressive!
This is more of the type of eye looks that I will wear in the daytime, although may not be wearing to work. I think you will be able to create a lighter look by focusing on the top 2 rows of the palette.
I like both eye looks created using this Sigma Beauty Hazy On-The-Go eyeshadow palette! They are effortless but yet beautiful!
Final Thoughts
Overall, I like this Sigma Beauty Hazy On-The-Go eyeshadow palette. I would recommend it if you like a good purple smokey eye look. As I said before, I think you will still be able to create something lighter and not as smokey.
Both the quality and color story are top-notched! The price is reasonable given the clean ingredients and the performance. However, if you are still on the fence about it, I highly recommend you to look at the the eye palettes from Colourpop *, which have an incredibly big selection of eyeshadow palettes that are very reasonably priced! Another high quality eye palette that I love and have a close color story is the Viseart Petits Fours Lilas palette (reviewed here)!
I will rate this Sigma Beauty Hazy On-The-Go eyeshadow palette as:
- Texture: 9/10
- Color payoff: 7/10
- Longevity on eye lid: 8/10
- Quality consistency among shades: 9/10
- Color scheme uniqueness: 6/10
- Affordability: 7/10
