(*affiliate link) The 2021 Spring Sephora VIB sale * has just started for those of you who are in the Rouge membership tier! For VIB and insider members, the sale will start on April 13 and 15 respectively, and ends on April 19 for all tiers.
This time I’m more interested in getting skin and hair care products than makeups. I’m so excited to talk about these items! I would love to hear what you guys are getting if you’re going to shop in this Spring Sephora VIB sale!
For the 2021 Spring Sephora VIB sale: Skin Care products
Dior One Essential Skin Boosting Super Serum *
I become interested in trying different Dior’s serums after using the Dior Capture Youth Glow Booster Age-Delay Illuminating Serum *, which I hauled in 2020 Sephora Holiday events. I almost used up my first bottle, I think it helps to brighten up my skin and lighten my acne blemishes. However, since that vitamin C serum is very expensive for the subtle effects I see over time, and there are tons of similar products in the market, I decided to try another brand of the vitamin C serum (see below).
Among the hypes of Dior’s skin care products with ingredients that I’m not allergic to, I found out this Dior One Essential Skin Boosting Super Serum maybe worth trying. Given all the stellar reviews and the claims of this serum, I am very hopeful of it!
Paula’s Choice C15 Vitamin C Super Booster *
Although I have never tried anything from Paula’s Choice before, I constantly hear many good things about this brand, especially for people with acne-prone skin. I am really glad that Paula’s Choice is available in Sephora now, it just makes it easier to order and try it out.
As I mentioned before, I want to find something more affordable, but still reliable, than the Dior Capture Youth Glow Booster Age-Delay Illuminating Serum *. Based on the description, the ingredients and the percentage of vitamin C in this C15 Vitamin C Super Booster, I think it would be a good alternative!
Paula’s Choice RESIST Perfectly Balanced Foaming Cleanser * and Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant *
Due to my curiosity to the brand, I am also going to get the Paula’s Choice cleanser and exfoliator as well! As I need to get a new cleanser anyway, and it seems many YouTubers also recommend the 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant, I think this is the perfect timing to get these products!
Paula’s Choice Omega+ Complex Serum *
Yes..it’s another Paula’s Choice skin care product! I am really intrigued by all the nice ingredients and claims of their products! As fatty acids are very important to the skin and also for protecting the moisture barrier, I also have high hope for this Omega+ Complex Serum! Plus I do not have similar ingredients in my current skin care routines.
For the 2021 Spring Sephora VIB sale: Hair Care products
Moroccanoil Treatment * and Briogeo Scalp Revival Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-exfoliating Scalp Scrub Shampoo *
Moroccanoil Treatment oil is a repurchase. I believe this is at least my third bottle! Loving how it smell, giving shine to my hair and being non-greasy.
I have been noticing some odor from rubbing my scalp recently… so I figured maybe I need a scrub or ‘exfoliation’ for my scalp. I have never used this Briogeo Scalp Revival Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-exfoliating Scalp Scrub Shampoo, but it seems to be a really popular product with 2.2k reviews! The price is also slightly more affordable compared with some other scalp scrubs.
For the 2021 Spring Sephora VIB sale: Makeup products
Sephora Collection Make No Mistake Foundation & Concealer Stick * and Pat McGrath Labs Sublime Perfection Concealer *
For the complexion makeup products, I am getting the Sephora Collection Make No Mistake Foundation & Concealer Stick. I have never used a Sephora Collection foundation or concealer before. I was shocked to see the price of this foundation and concealer stick drops from $20 USD to only $8 USD for 0.41 oz/11.6 g of product! Plus you can also get an extra 30% off of all the Sephora Collection’s item during the whole period of the sale! What a steal! I got a deeper shade for using it as a contour.
As I don’t use foundation anymore, but only concealers for my full face, I have been shopping for good concealers. I talked about this Pat McGrath Labs Sublime Perfection Concealer in my recent review/blog for March favorites (here). However, as the shade L5 doesn’t work for me, I am gonna get the shade L6 and try if that match me well. I know this concealer is great and I’ll highly recommend you to try it if you are also looking for something on the full coverage side!
I have A LOT of brow pencils and pomades in my collection currently… I am really on the fence of whether I should splurge so much on trying this Tom Ford Fiber Brown Gel! I used the Hourglass Arch Brow Volumizing Fiber Gel * before. I liked it a lot but the tube dried out (or simply used up?!) pretty fast.. well this TF brow gel has 2 times the amount of product than the Hourglass one..hopefully it justify the price a tiny bit better. I think I am still gonna try this TF brow gel out anyway… Sephora VIB sale is the best time to get such expensive product!
Melt Cosmetics Mary Jane Eyeshadow Palette *
Perhaps this Melt Cosmetics Mary Jane Eyeshadow Palette is the most exciting product in this order, or even this whole 2021 Spring Sephora VIB sale event!
I have been wanting a 10-pan Melt Cosmetics eyeshadow palette for a long time! I just wasn’t able to make up my mind for which one I’ll most happy with. I was jumping between this or the Rust palette, but decided that I like this color story better! I’m so happy that it is available on Sephora before/at the sale!!
Some people say it’s very similar to the Natasha Denona Glam palette * (reviewed here), I can see the reason why. I know many people would disagree, but honestly I was not blown away by the Glam palette as many people raving about it. I feel like there aren’t as many eye look varieties as I’d like using ND’s Glam palette.
So I’m super excited and looking forward to play with this Melt Cosmetics Mary Jane Eyeshadow Palette!
Huda Beauty Mercury Retrograde Eyeshadow Palette *
No doubt this Huda Beauty Mercury Retrograde Eyeshadow Palette is a very beautiful and innovative palette. At the first glance, this is a very colorful palette that is somewhat intimidating to me, who rarely wear too bold or colorful looks. However, after reading a lot of reviews and swatches, other than the first row, the rest of the palette is actually very wearable.
So I decided to give this a try, as I have never tried a big Huda Beauty’s palette! Heard that they are much better in quality than her smaller 9-pan palettes. Another surprise is that, I just found out there is a $20 USD discount on this palette, on top of the Sephora VIB sale! There is no excuse not to get it for me haha!
Overall, my Sephora shopping cart for this 2021 Spring Sephora VIB sale is pretty much it for now! I am interested to see what you think and if you have any suggestions!
