This palette was released in mid-March 2024. It’s a mini-version similar to the other Born This Way eyeshadow palettes that Too Faced released before. The shades in each of these mini palettes are very well curated and is great for the on-the-go or travel!

About the Too Faced Cold Smolder Nudes Mini Eyeshadow Palette
This Too Faced Cold Smolder Nudes Mini Eyeshadow Palette retails for $29 USD. There are 2 different shade options for this mini palette- the Cold Smolder and the Warm Ember Nudes.
Each of the smaller shade contains 0.5 g (0.01 oz) of product, and the bigger shades each contains 1.4 g (0.04 oz) of products. There are 3 shimmers and 3 mattes in each of the palettes.
The packaging of cardboard paper with plastic insert. There’s also a good sized mirror inside. I really think this is one of the most important thing for a travel palette! I also like that there’s a clasp or click closure mechanism for this palette, it’s not magnetic. The palette feels really secure and light weighted in a good sense.
This palette is made in Italy.
Ingredients and formulation of the Too Faced Cold Smolder Nudes mini eyeshadow palette
The full list of ingredients can also be found here. As most of the recent Too Faced palettes, these eyeshadows are also talc-free. However, they have a rather prominent perfume smell to it. I can smell it pretty well the whole time I was doing my makeup with this palette! Although I don’t smell myself having the same perfume once the eye look was done. But those of you who have sensitive skin may need to consider that these eyeshadows contain perfume.
For the formulation, the shadows in this palette are typical of Too Faced’s- the mattes can feel a little dry to the touch (especially for more intense colors), the deeper mattes can also be a little patchy sometimes, but the application is still very smooth, blendable and buildable.
For the shimmers, they are all very creamy to the touch and pigmented. If you usually apply shimmers with your finger, you may want to really make sure the shadows are pressed and smeared onto your eye lid. The two deeper shimmers (Show Off, Sparkle & Chill) are somewhat flaky, they can have fall outs if not fulled pressed onto the skin.
Overall, although I believe most of us has all these shades in their eyeshadow collection, they’re nonetheless still a very beautiful palette, in terms of cohesive color story and good quality.
Swatches for the Too Faced Born this Way Cold Smolder Nudes Mini Eyeshadow Palette
As you can see from the video, I went back to the pan and layer the deeper matte shade up in order to smooth out the patchiness. For some reason, it feels like this is an issue for arm swatching. Since there isn’t much an issue when I applied the deeper matte with an eyeshadow brush on my eyelid.
Other than this, I think all other shades were nice and pigmented.
Eye look created using the Too Faced Born this Way Cold Smolder Nudes Mini Eyeshadow Palette
I love how this smokey eye turned out. It’s very pretty, can be worn day or night. It maybe a little bit smokey for the office. But you can easily get a subdue workplace look from this palette using the matte shades to just sculpt the eye shape!
Given there’re only 6 shades in this mini Too Faced eyeshadow palette, it’s still very versatile for the different looks you can create from day to night, in various situations.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I like this Too Faced Cold Smolder Nudes Mini Eyeshadow Palette. The color story maybe too common, but it’s a great travel palette if you just looking for basic eye looks. The quality of the shadows is also great and easy to use. I think using an eye primer will be beneficial for this palette.
The price tag of $29 USD is partly paying for the brand name (Too Faced), and you can get this same color story quite easily with drug store makeup brands as well. So it all boils down to the packaging and whether you like the brand Too Faced or not. Also since Too Faced is frequently doing sales on their website (like they’re currently having a 25% off of selected makeup for the Friends and Family sales!), it’ll be a good deal if you can grab this palette during one of such sales!
