(*affiliate link) Hey guys! Here we have the Day 5 look of the 7 Days of easy Valentine’s Day eye look! Thank you for stopping by again.
I figured I want to do a more traditional romantic pink eye for today’s Valentine’s Day look tutorial. As I was using the Stila Glitter and Glow liquid eye shadow * yesterday, I dug out my collection of these glitter liquid shadows and want to make more use out of them. This is the perfect moment to let these Stila liquid shadow shine!
Easy Valentine’s Day eye look 5
Pink eyeshadow is the most abundant shade category in my collection. I love pink even though it sometimes can be a little too bold for casual wear.
The ABH Soft Glam and the Rare Beauty Confident Energy are repeat palettes for making this series of looks. I can attest that these are very versatile and handy palette for creating virtually any looks!
Here are the palettes and other products I used for this Valentine’s Day eye look:
- Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam eyeshadow palette *
- Rare Beauty Confident Energy Eyeshadow Palette * (reviewed here)
- XX Revolution XXposed eyeshadow quad * (reviewed here)
- Dior 5 Couleurs Couture in 859 Pink Corolle * (reviewed here)
- Stila Glitter and Glow liquid eye shadow * in Beauty Junkie (this was a limited edition shade, the next similar shade would be Tulip Twinkle)
- Dior Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Mascara in 090 black *
- Bobbi Brown Ink Eyeliner Blackest Black *
Swatches of the shades & liner used
Among the pinks in these palette, I have chosen some pastel pink, soft pink, bright pink and peachy pink. I’m loving all these shades together (not for everyday wear though!)!
I think the Dior 5 Couleurs Couture in 859 Pink Corolle * is my favorite among all the new Dior quints that I have tried in late 2020. It seems they have come out with two more palette in this line, the 639 Blooming Bouquet * and the 529 Wild Brown *. The latter is quite tempting to me!
As I reviewed before (see here), the XX Revolution XXposed eyeshadow quad * is a very close dupe for the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk eye quad *. The quality of this XXposed palette is top notch and may even be easier to use than Pillow Talk.
How this look was created
- Mix the pale pink from the XX Revolution XXposed eyeshadow quad * with the baby pink from the Dior 5 Couleurs Couture in 859 Pink Corolle * on a brush and apply them onto the crease as transition. Notice I put the baby pink from the Dior quint further up the crease along the socket
- Then I use both the brown from the ABH palette and the rosy brown in the XXposed palette to deepen the outer corner
- Apply the peachy pink from the Confident Energy palette all over the lid. Highlight the tear duct with the pale pink from the Dior quint
- Take some Stila Glitter and Glow liquid eye shadow * in Beauty Junkie from the wand with a finger and gentle tap the liquid eye shadow onto the middle of the lid. Blend out the edge with a finger. Be careful not to retouch the glitter shadow before it dries down. Can repeat until the desired intensity is built up
- Finish up with a black liner from Bobbi Brown Ink Eyeliner Blackest Black * and mascara from Dior Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Mascara in 090 black *
