Hey Glamminers! Thanks for stopping by! I haven’t been able to upload as much videos or blogposts recently due to personal reasons, but I hope I’ll be able to catch up from now on! I got this Natasha Denona Retro Glam palette* when it was first released. I’ve been using it for a while now, so this is going to be a more thought out review.
I initially got this palette because I was so attracted to this cool-leaning color story: although I don’t usually use green shadows even though I like the color, this palette seems to have the perfect tones of green that are not too loud for daily use and is pretty much versatile. It also comes with other supporting shades like the deep and light brown to use with the earthy green colors.
In addition to the color story, I also love Natasha Denona’s formulas. So this palette feels like pretty much the only green eyeshadow palette that I ever need Lol!

About the Natasha Denona Retro Glam Palette
The Natasha Denona Retro Glam palette* currently retails for $ 69 USD. There is a total of 0.47 oz (19.25 g) of products. This palette is made in Italy.
There are 15 shades in this palette: 6 regular mattes, 1 cream to powder matte, 7 metallics/shimmers, 1 sparkle shade.
This Retro Glam palette is supposed to be the baby of her Mini Retro palette* and her best-selling Glam palette*. However, I actually didn’t expect to have a green palette out of those two, since none of them gives a green look vibe.
Ingredients and formulation of the Natasha Denona Retro Glam Palette

Interestingly, all the non-matte shades have talc as the first ingredient, but not any of the mattes or cream to powder matte! I have not actually verified this, but I have an impression that her bigger/more expensive palettes ($ 129 USD) tend to have less talc used in the shadows.
This Retro Glam palette is free of parabens, mineral oils and gluten. It is also cruelty-free. I do not detect any fragrance from the shadows.
For the formulation, it doesn’t disappoint as a Natasha Denona palette! All the shades including the pastel shades are not pigmented, creamy and smooth. I actually really like Natasha’s cream to powder formula. They often blend like a dream in my experience! I’m especially thankful that the deep matte shade Evergreen is in this formula!
For the shimmers, or they call them metallics, are also creamy and smooth. Some of them have more sparkles in it and are popping more on the lid. I don’t usually have fallout from using this palette.
Overall, I’m quite contented regarding the performance of these shadows.
Swatches for the Natasha Denona Retro Glam Palette
I would think green eyeshadows are not always smooth and pigmented, but not the shades here! Some of the shades maybe very light, but the color still shows up well on my skin tone. I think the pastel shades are opaque enough to show up in most skin tones.
I’d say what you see in the pan is what you get in the swatch, they are true to the colors.
Eye looks created using the Natasha Denona Retro Glam Palette
I love how this soft green eye look came together using this Retro Glam palette! It is very wearable for me! I also love that I can have the option of deepening the outer corner with more green shade (for instance, with Evergreen), or to go with a more casual brown (with Maxi or Jazzy), or even without defining too much by just leaving it a simple look like here.
The eye look 2 is mostly just using the brown and pink tones in the palette. I still like eye look 1 more as that is more unique. But I also wanna show you guys the versatility of this palette with this look!
To be honest, this third look was more like for me to try using every single shades of this palette, without overlapping too much with the shades that I already used in the other 2 eye looks. Although this look is not how I mostly wear this palette, it can still be a nice evening look! I love every shades in this palette, they are high quality and easy to use.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I love this Natasha Denona Retro Glam palette * and would recommend this if you also like this color story!
Although not everyone was excited about this color story when it was first released, I completely understand that and felt the same way at that time. But I found myself constantly thinking and reaching for this palette ever since. I know it’s not a cheap palette, but it’s unique at least in my collection. So, it’s worth it in my opinion.
For this smaller ND 15-pan eyeshadow palettes, the quality is pretty consistent in my experience. So it all boils down to whether you’ll get enough use of this color story to make it worth the price!
