Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Eyeshadow Sticks including All Aglow Eyeshadow Stick Set and Eye Catching Color Kit

(Contains affiliate links) Hey Glamminers! I recently uploaded a video on the swatches of all these Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Eyeshadow Sticks that I currently own (here). There are about 10 of them and I think some of the shades can be pretty similar to one another, and Bobbi Brown’s website doesn’t always show the realistic colors in natural lighting (in my opinion). I myself was actually trying to find the swatches of these newer BB eyeshadow sticks earlier before doing this purchase, however, I was not able to find most of the shades, not to mention with comparison. So I hope this review can be helpful for people who are looking for the same information- want to see the shades of a more updated version of the current BB eyeshadow sticks collection!

Below are the 10 eyeshadow sticks that I own by the end of 2023/beginning of 2024:

About the Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Eyeshadow Sticks

The full size Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Eyeshadow Sticks currently retails for USD $34 (CA $45) a piece. There are a total of 25 (non-limited edition) shades available. Each eyeshadow stick contains 0.05 oz or 1.6 g of products. It’s a pretty decent amount for eyeshadows, which I’ve never used up any of them yet.

If you don’t want to commit to the full size eyeshadow stick yet, Bobbi Brown sometimes has mini versions of selected shades that you get can as a set. In many cases, these minis will go on sale regularly, like these. The regular price of a mini eyeshadow stick is USD $17 (CA $22), which each contains 0.03 oz or 0.9 g of products. However, the shade selections for minis are usually very limited.

There are also limited edition/seasonal shades that go on sale sometimes.

From Bobbi Brown, it’s claimed that these Long Wear Cream Eyeshadow Sticks are “Waterproof, long-lasting eye makeup seamlessly stays put for 24 hours of non-settling, non-creasing, non-flaking, non-smudging, color-true wear”. We’ll visit these claims in the next sections.

Here is the list of shades I’m reviewing:

Shimmers: Golden Pink, Moonstone, Golden Bronze, Soft Bronze, Bronze, Mulberry, Golden Amber

Mattes: Taupe, Cinnamon, Cashew

Ingredients and formulation of the Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Eyeshadow Sticks

The full list of ingredients can be found here. Unlike most of the Bobbi Brown’s powder-based eyeshadows, these cream eyeshadow sticks are free of talc. They are also known to be free of Parabens, Phthalates, Sulfates, Gluten, Sulfites, Mineral Oil, Triclosan and Formaldehyde. They also do not have any detectable fragrance.

For the formulation, these cream eyeshadow sticks are actually true to their claims- they last a long time on my eyelids (I don’t have oily lids). At the end of the day, my eyeshadows still looks fresh and not faded at all. I’m really impressed with that!

They are also very easily blended for most of the shades. The only shade out of the 10 that I have issue blending is Cinnamon. It was the shade that I have been looking forward to, so it’s a bit disappointing. This particular shade is rather dry and patchy when I blended it with my finger. Other shades that I tested don’t have this same issue at all. I believe most of the shimmer shades in this line don’t have the same issue.

Overall, I’m really loving these eyeshadow sticks! They are so handy and convenient, and yet performs really well for me.

I love my collection of Bobbi Brown cream eyeshadow sticks! Although some of them has only very subtle differences in shade (e.g. Golden Bronze and Bronze), they will all work well together on a single eye look.

In the swatches above, I tried to blend out part of the swatches on top, so that you can see what it’ll look like blended on the lid.

My favorite cream shadow shades in this collection are the Golden Amber and Soft Bronze. Both show up well (while not too obvious) on my skin tone!

Among the similar shades (Soft Bronze, Bronze and Golden Bronze), I feel like Soft Bronze has almost a rosy tint to it, so it’s closer to a rose gold shade in my mind rather than a true bronzy brown.

Bronze is a true bronze and Golden Bronze is a deep bronze imo.

I heard some people said Moonstone is more glittery than other shimmer shades in the line, and I agree with that. I think there’re more glittery particles in this shade. However, I don’t notice any issue of fallout or fading with this formula.

In the video, I also showed at the end that these cream eyeshadows are pretty resistant to smearing once they are settled on the skin (non-oily).

Like I mentioned earlier, most shades behave fantastic, but only the matte shade Cinnamon has blending issues. It doesn’t want to blend and it’s rather patchy.

In this eye look, I used Golden Amber in the center of the lid, Moonstone at the inner corner. I also used the blending shades from the Hude Beauty Pretty Grunge eyeshadow palette. I love how it turns out!

Final Thoughts

Overall, I love these Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Eyeshadow Sticks! I highly recommend picking them up during the sales, or try them out in the form minis. For the full size (full price) eyeshadow sticks, I do think they’re a bit pricy for only a single shade. You can get some good quality eyeshadow palettes with the price for one eyeshadow stick. For instance, you can get the Too Faced Born This Way Sunset Stripped eyeshadow palette for the sales price of USD $26 (here, also read the review here), which is a great palette for a full eye look.

Aside from the price, the quality of these cream eyeshadow sticks are wonderful imo. They’re long-lasting, non-fading, non-smudging, waterproof, and handy. I’ll highly recommend to try out a shade or two that you’ll always reach for.

In summary, I will rate these Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Eyeshadow Sticks as:

  • Texture: 9/10
  • Color payoff: 9.5/10
  • Longevity on eye lid: 10/10
  • Quality consistency among shades: 8.5/10
  • Color scheme uniqueness: 7/10
  • Affordability: 5/10
