(*affiliate link) I was browsing YouTube for new makeup the other day and found out about this Catrice Badass Bae eyeshadow palette *! I agree that the color story of this palette is very warm, there seem to have a lot of orange and red tones going on, but I was surprised how much I enjoy the eye looks that came out from this Badass Bae palette!
The cardboard packaging of this Catrice Badass Bae eyeshadow palette is pretty simple and neat imo. It has a mirror inside and has a magnetic closure. I think the eyeshadows are encased securely by the packaging.

About the Catrice Badass Bae eyeshadow palette
This Catrice Badass Bae eyeshadow palette * retails for $15 USD. There are 12 eyeshadows inside, containing a total of 0.44 oz of products.
I consider there to be 3 types of finishes in this Badass Bae palette: matte, satin and metallic.
From Ulta’s website, this Catrice Badass Bae eyeshadow palette is described as ‘Catrice’s Instagram inspired Badass Bae Eyeshadow Palette featuring 12 intensely pigmented eyeshadows in warm and fiery shades with matte and shimmering finishes’. They also claim that the shades are long-lasting, easy to blend and buildable.
Ingredients and formulation of the Catrice Badass Bae eyeshadow palette
They did not label the ingredients of individual shades in this palette, but listed 5 groups of ingredients.
Accordingly, all the shades in this palette have talc as the first or second ingredient, followed by mica and dimethicone. Carmine is also listed as an ingredient as well.
This Badass Bae palette is also cruelty-free, fragrance-free, oil-free, paraben-free and alcohol-free. It is made in the PRC.
For the formulation, the shadows are all very soft and highly pigmented, as claimed by Catrice. I found they very easy to blend and smooth.
The mattes are non-patchy and do not feel dry at all, no matter it is a dark or light shade. The shimmer are also very well-made. All very pigmented and creamy. I can see that the shimmers are made with a thicker formula, but this doesn’t compromise the performance of these shadows.
Swatches for the Catrice Badass Bae eyeshadow palette
The swatches, not the color scheme but the shadows to the touch, somehow reminds me of the Nars Extreme Effects eyeshadow palette (reviewed here), which I really liked.
The shades are very ‘solid’, without any patchiness. I am amazed by the quality of affordable eyeshadow palettes nowadays! I don’t have any bad things to say about the qualities of these shades in this Catrice Badass Bae eyeshadow palette.

2 eye looks created using the Catrice Badass Bae eyeshadow palette
I am very happy with this bronzy warm-neutral look! As I mentioned before, the shades are very easy to blend and complement each other well. This look is work place friendly and very wearable.
Although the orange and reddish tones in this palette seems intimidating at first sight, it indeed can be sheered out to give a warm bronzy undertone when used sparingly.
This second look is more like what I was expecting from this palette, a warm burnt orange look. I tend to apply eyeshadows with a light-hand, I usually only touch the shadows with the brush lightly and tap off the excess, so if you prefer a more rich look, I am sure you can easily build up the shades, or simply just pick up more products, to create a more intense look.
I have already worn this look for a night out for a couple times! I didn’t expect myself to love this look so much! I absolutely adore this Catrice Badass Bae eyeshadow palette!
Final Thoughts
Overall, I love this Catrice Badass Bae eyeshadow palette and the eye looks created. I will highly recommend it if you are looking for a warm eyeshadow palette. The price and quality are unbeatable! I think this palette is very easy to use than you may expect. So, give it a try and you would not regret!
