I recently got 4 shades in this collection: 020 Mahogany, 018 Intense Spice, 038 Rose Nude and 030 Shimmer Rose. Given the Sephora VIB sale * is coming up very soon, I hope this review can help you to decide whether to pick these up!
As the Dior Addict Lip Glow * lip balms are some of my all-time favorites, I was really excited to try these lip glosses out! I like that they have a large shade range and 2 different types of finishes to choose from! It was definitely a difficult task for me to pick out only a couple shades from all of the stunning colors!

About the Dior Addict Lip Maximizer Plumping Gloss
These Dior Addict Lip Maximizer Plumping Gloss * retails for $40 USD a piece. There is 0.2 oz or 6 ml of product in each tube. They are made in France.
There are 2 main types of finishes available: the Shimmer finish and the High Shine finish. Among the 4 glosses that I picked up, 3 of them are High Shine (020 Mahogany, 018 Intense Spice, 038 Rose Nude) and the remaining is Shimmer (030 Shimmer Rose).
In most stores * that you can find there Dior Addict lip glosses, there are 9-10 shades in Shimmer finish and 13-14 shades in High Shine finish. So, there are lots of options available if you’re interested in trying them out.

Ingredients and formulation of the Dior Addict Lip Maximizer Plumping Gloss
The full list of ingredients for different shades can be found here *. The highlights are that they are vegan, cruelty-free, gluten-free, parabens-free, and have less than 1% of synthetic fragrance.
According to Dior, these lip glosses are composed of 90% natural-origin ingredients and infused with cherry oil and hyaluronic acid. It also can hydrate your lips for more than 24 hours.
Although they are dubbed as ‘lip maximizer plumping gloss’, they don’t give me any plumping or tingling sensation, not like some of the plumping lip glosses from Buxom. I guess what they were referring to is that your lips will appear more full and luscious with the high shine and shimmery effects from these glosses! That’s my interpretation.
For the formulation, I really like that they are not so sticky and the moisturizing effects usually can last me a long time even after the color is gone from drinking and eating.
Like any other lip glosses, they are highly transferable to cups and wiping. However, even when the color has faded, it can still give your lips a tint of color for slightly deeper shades like 020 Mahogany.
I also like that the doe foot applicator of these Dior Addict lip glosses is very easy to apply the product onto the lips, while picking up just the right amount of one application. That makes it much easier for a quick and mess-free re-application during the day for me.
Swatches for the Dior Addict Lip Maximizer Plumping Gloss
I was expecting Mahogany to be the deepest shade in the swatches as it appears in the tube, but I was wrong. The lighter color is much easier to wear for me, but I was hoping for something a little bit darker, like the Dior Addict Lip Glow * lip balm version.
For Intense Spice and Rose Nude, they are very similar in the tube and in swatches. I think I prefer Rose Nude a little bit better because it’s lighter. However, I do like both of them.
My favorite among the 4 Dior Addict Lip Maximizer Plumping Gloss * that I purchased is Shimmer Rose! It was unexpected to me, as I really had high hope on Mahogany. I really love the light pink color in Shimmer Rose! The shimmer particles in the gloss is very fine and minimal, so you won’t be able to see that on your lips. It just helps in giving your lips a sheen.
Another reason why I love Shimmer Rose the best is that it’s a very nice your lip but better shade. As I don’t want to be too flashy, this shade is the most comfortable to me.
Lip swatches for the Dior Addict Lip Maximizer Plumping Gloss
I think you can see a bigger difference between Intense Spice and Rose Nude in my lip swatches: Rose Nude is lighter in color than Intense Spice. While Shimmer Rose appears to be the same lip color as my bare lips, it actually adds a hint of pink to my lips. It makes my look a bit more polished without having heavy makeup on.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I like how practically moisturizing these Dior Addict Lip Maximizer Plumping Gloss * are! I’m also happy with the selection of shades you can get from this collection. I would buy more when some of these run out.
Having said that, I do think these lip glosses are not unique in terms of the benefits you get from them. I would still highly recommend the Full-On Plumping Lip Cream gloss from Buxom * or their Full-On Plumping Lip Polish gloss *, if what you’re looking for is hydration and color range, they are also much more reasonably priced, although they are slightly more sticky than the Dior lip glosses.
