(*affiliate link) Hey guys! We made it to Day 6 of the 7 Days of easy Valentine’s Day eye look! There is one more to go tomorrow!
This look #6 is intended to be a more simple, low-key one that is glam at the same time. It gives people a feeling of elegance and more grown up imo. I think it is great to wear for everyday too.
Easy Valentine’s Day eye look 6
The eye shadows that I used in making this Easy Valentine’s Day eye look 6 involve a lot of golden yellow tones. This comes my favorite Tom Ford quad, Suspicion (reviewed here)! As well as the popular Bobbi Brown Golden Slipper eye shadow palette (reviewed here) from the Holiday 2020 collection.
Other than the Glitter and Glow liquid eye shadow from Stila, I also got the high-shine Tarte Chrome Paint Shadow Pots (reviewed here) that is used this time. They are not glittery but are very reflective and a bit thicker in texture than the Stila one (which is liquid). The opacity of these shadow pots are excellent.
Here are the palettes and other products I used for this Valentine’s Day eye look:
- Bobbi Brown Golden Slipper Eye Shadow Palette * (reviewed here)
- Tom Ford Eye Color quad in Suspicion * (reviewed here)
- Dior 5 Couleurs Couture 649 Nude Dress * (reviewed here)
- Tarte Chrome Paint Shadow Pot in top yacht * (reviewed here)
- Tarte gifted Amazonian clay smart mascara *
- Clinique Pretty Easy Liquid Eyelining Pen in black *
Swatches of the shades & liner used
Using these golden-brown palettes, I think the look can go either yellow golden or pale golden and I chose to do the latter.
Retrospectively, maybe I should have gone a tad deeper for the outer corner by using a darker brown, or even a black, than the one I used. Although the key of this look is to avoid a stark black and white contrast of the very light champagne top of color and the outer corner.
The Clinique Pretty Easy Liquid Eyelining Pen * is another outstanding black liners comparable to the Bobbi Brown Ink Eyeliner Blackest Black * that I have been using for these Valentine’s Day eye looks. The wing that you see in the finished look is a one swipe pigmentation.
How this look was created
- Use the lighter brown (left) in the Bobbi Brown Golden Slipper Eye Shadow Palette * as the transition. Then blend out using the matte brown in the Dior quint. Deepen the outer corner further with the brown at the corner in the Golden Slipper palette
- Apply the pale gold shade from the Tom Ford Eye Color quad in Suspicion * all over the lid. Using the finger, apply 2 layers of the Tarte Chrome Paint Shadow Pot in top yacht * with a patting motion. Also use the finger to blend out the edge
- Finish up with a black liner from Clinique Pretty Easy Liquid Eyelining Pen in black * and the Tarte gifted Amazonian clay smart mascara *
