(* affiliated link) The Charlotte Tilbury Green Lights Luxury Eyeshadow Palette * is a newer addition to her Luxury Eyeshadow quads collection. It was released in the earlier half of 2020. I only recently got this palette as part of my Sephora Holiday Savings Event haul.

The quads from Charlotte Tilbury are pretty small compared with other luxury makeup brands like Tom Ford and Dior, but the packaging is very neat and it feels substantial.

On Charlotte Tilbury’s website *, this Green Lights palette is described as ‘the hypnotic gold, olive and khaki-green hues in this eye-enhancing palette dial up hazel eyes and make them POP’, ‘hazel eyes are a beautiful blend of greens, browns and golds that flex and morph dependent on mood, weather and change of light!! Hypnotic and energetic, HAZEL EYES can mesmerise with a glance! For a POP of colour contrast that makes hazel eyes appear golden, Charlotte recommends the verdant shades of GREEN LIGHTS’.

As a newer formula from Charlotte Tilbury, talc is not the first ingredient in this Green Lights quad (except the smoke shade). Although all of the shadows in this quad still contains talc, it is less than her previous releases.

This Green Lights palette also does not have any fragrance to it.

For the formulation, I only have the Walk of No Shame eyeshadow quad from Charlotte Tilbury (review here), so I can only use that as a reference. This Green Lights palette is smoother and softer than Walk of No Shame. The biggest contrast has to be the Pop shades in both palette. The one in Walk of No Shame is pretty stiff and develops a hard pan for only a couple uses. However, the Pop shade in Green Lights is much improved and does not seem to have any hard pan at all.

The Smoke shade in Green Lights appear to have some microglitters in the pan but not very noticeable and can be blended away on the lid. The base almost seems like a matte.

All the shades in the Green Lights palette is very pigmented and easy to blend without much fallout.

The colors from the swatches and that appear in the pans look somewhat different to me. I prefer the shades on the swatches. The shades look more subdued in the pans. The 3 shades of olive seem quite inseparable to the bare eyes. However, on the swatches they look more different.

The olive brown colors on the bottom row pair very well with the olive green and the gold on the top row.

The smoke shade is not super deep but buildable. I much prefer shades that are buildable and it is good enough to be comparably deeper than the rest of the palette for creating depth in a look.

However, one thing that I wish it was different is the Pop shade. I would rather prefer a shade that is much lighter than what it is now. For my interpretation, the Pop shade is to be used onto the center of the lid to create a pop of color, giving the look a sparkle or shine. But this current shade was doing the opposite and darkening the whole eye look if I do so.

I created this Charlotte Tilbury Green Lights Eyeshadow look with all the shades in the palette, basically following the prime, enhance, smoke and pop sequence as suggested.

I really like this resulting eye look! It is not too smokey, looks very elegant and wearable. I also pair this look with an olive green eyeliner from The Balm, which is a great match.

All the shades are very smooth, pigmented and blend effortlessly.

Final Thoughts

I highly recommend this Charlotte Tilbury Green Lights eyeshadow palette *! It is by far the best olive green eyeshadow palette (a small palette) that I ever owned and wanted to purchase.

The formulation is very good and I think it worth the price. There’s something about this palette that is so effective in doing what it does. I bought the Hude Beauty Khaki Haze Obsessions palette with this Green Lights palette in mind! Part of the reason I got the Khaki Haze Obsessions palette was because I wanted to find a dupe for this Green Lights palette! I’ve to admit that it was not a dupe.

I will rate this Charlotte Tilbury Green Lights Luxury Eyeshadow Palette as:

  • Texture: 10/10
  • Color payoff: 9.5/10
  • Longevity on eye lid: 9/10
  • Quality consistency among shades: 10/10
  • Color scheme uniqueness: 10/10
  • Affordability: 8/10
