(*affiliate link) As the title suggests, I’m going to share with you all an easy Valentine’s Day eye look every day for 7 consecutive days! I’m not a makeup artist nor I do fancy makeup techniques like cut-cease. I don’t use falsies either. Hopefully everyone of you can find similar shades for creating today’s Valentine’s Day eye look in your own makeup collection!
In Day 1, I’m inspired by the blue eyeshadows that I have in my vanity. Although I don’t usually wear bold eye looks in everyday life, I found myself attracted to sparkly blue and purple eyeshadows a lot! So, I’m making this look my first inspiration.
Easy Valentine’s Day eye look: Day 1
These are the eye palettes, liner and mascara that I used in this look: for the eyeshadow palettes, I used selected shades from each of the palettes.
- Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam eyeshadow palette *
- Tom Ford Day Dream Eye Color Quad * (This gorgeous quad is 48% off now!!)
- Viseart Petits Fours Lilas palette (reviewed here)
- Colourpop Good Boy! Super shock shadow (in Furriends Forever Duo, reviewed here)
- bh Cosmetics Eye lights in Chill Pill
- Tarte Chrome Paint Shadow Pot unleashed * (reviewed here)
- Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara *
- Bobbi Brown Ink Eyeliner Blackest Black *
Swatches of the shades & liner used
Although it seems I used a lot different palettes, some of the shades can be found in just any eyeshadow palettes. Like the black from the Soft Glam palette; the light pink/grey from Petits Fours Lilas palette; the deep navy and pale blue silver from Day Dream quad; and the White shimmer from the Super Shock Shadow.
I would say the ones that were more unique are the royal blue/purple liquid shadow from bh Cosmetics (no longer available) and lavender shimmer unleashed from Tarte.
How this look was created
- Mix the two matte shades from the Viseart palette and put onto the crease
- Layer the Tom Ford navy shade on the crease, focusing on the outer corner
- Deepen the outer corner with the black from ABH Soft Glam, blend well
- Do one eye at a time, put bh Cosmetics Chill Pill liquid shimmer shadow on the bare area of the lid, leaving out the inner 1/4 corner, blend the edges with a brush
- Allow the liquid shadow to dry for couple seconds, repeat the last step carefully without removing the first layer of the liquid shadow
- Wait for another couple seconds to let the shadow set. Use a finger to layer the Tarte Chrome Paint Shadow Pot unleashed on top. Repeat one more time
- Put the pale blue shimmer from Tom Ford Day Dream quad onto the remaining inner 1/4 corner and blend the edges
- Highlight the tear ducts with the Colourpop Super Shock Shadow Good Boy!
- Put the same corresponding shades as the upper lid below the lower lash line
- Draw the wing with the Bobbi Brown Ink Liner and put on the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara
I really like how this Day 1 Valentine’s Day eye look turned out! What do you think? Come back tomorrow for the Day 2 look!
