(*affiliate link) I was browsing some new makeup recently and found this little palette! The new 2021 Bobbi Brown Blush Nudes Eye Shadow Palette!
I saw it in Nordstrom and it is the only place that I can find selling this palette for now. I’m sure it’ll come to other retailers like Sephora* and Macy’s*, and even in Bobbi Brown‘s* site very soon.

About the Bobbi Brown Blush Nudes Eye Shadow Palette
This Bobbi Brown Blush Nudes Eye Shadow Palette retails for $45 USD and is currently available at Nordstrom. Each eye shadow in this palette contains 0.05 oz or 1.7 g of products. The palette is made in USA.
There are 3 versions of this Nudes Eye Shadow Palette from Bobbi Brown: Blush Nudes, Golden Nudes and Stonewashed Nudes. I decided to try this Blush Nudes Eye Shade palette.
This palette has 3 mattes and 2 shimmers, which are the shimmer wash and metallic formulae:
Here are the shades:
The packaging of these Nudes Eye Shadow palettes is very sleek and travel-friendly.
From Nordstrom’s website, this is a limited edition palette. It is described as ‘can create anything from a soft, smoky eye to a sultry statement look’. It is also paraben-free, sulfate-free, phthalate-free and sulfite-free. There is no detectable fragrance.
Ingredients and formulation of the Bobbi Brown Blush Nudes Eye Shadow Palette
Same as most Bobbi Brown eye shadows, the first ingredient is talc, for all the mattes and shimmers in this palette.
The texture and performance of these eye shadows are very similar to her other palettes, the more recent ones being the Holiday collection palettes High Barre* (reviewed here), Golden Slipper* (reviewed here) and Modern Symphony Eye Shadow palettes (reviewed here).
I would say the shadows in this and those other palettes are relatively stiff. The mattes are not very pigmented when swatched. However, they work well on the lid with a brush, not patchy or hard to blend. As I am someone who does not wear bold looks and prefer more subtle or lighter shadows, I don’t have any issue with that.
For the two shimmers in this Blush Nudes Eye Shadow palette, I think they follow the same principle above as the mattes. But they still apply smoothly without any hassle.
I think it make sense for the performance of this nude palette, as I believe the theme of this line of product is to create casual and easy looks.
Swatches for the Bobbi Brown Blush Nudes Eye Shadow Palette
When I first swatched this Bobbi Brown Blush Nudes Eye Shadow Palette, I was very underwhelmed and disappointed about the shades.
Not only do they look similar, they are also not pigmented at all. The 2 shimmers are rather inconspicuous. I think some of the shades are very close to the ones in the Modern Symphony palette (here). It also makes me feel this Blush Nudes palette is just picking 5 shades out of the Modern Symphony palette and put them in a new palette.
On the positive side, I like the softness of these eye shadows. If this palette is targeting to people who do not expect to get a bold look from it, but just for making a look that seems all put together, the choice of shades and formulation can make a lot of sense.
2 eye looks created using the Bobbi Brown Blush Nudes Eye Shadow Palette
Given the swatch situation above, I was expecting to disappoint with the looks created using this Bobbi Brown Blush Nudes Eye Shadow Palette. In this eye look 1, I used a brown liquid liner* from Sephora.
To my surprise, as a soft eye look girl, I do like this simple and basic look created! Although in the photo, my white balance was a bit off, the first look came out was very much up my alley! It is pink and soft but not too much a girly pink. I think this is a very wearable and elegant look for everyday life.
This second eye look is also very basic and simple. Instead of having a pink tone look, this one is based on the cooler side of the palette. I used the black liquid liner* from Bobbi Brown to create the wing.
I just like how simple and wearable these eye looks are. To be honest, there is almost no variation of looks you can create from this palette. I think it is fair to assume each of these 5-pan palette give you one eye look. However, I still think I will think of and reach for this palette whenever I need such simple to-go looks.
Having mentioned earlier about the similarity of this palette to the Modern Symphony palette, after doing these looks, I realized that this is a softer and more casual version of the latter one. The looks created with this palette feel less glam, the shimmers here are not as high shine as those from the Modern Symphony palette. But it doesn’t necessarily mean this is an less good palette.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I like this Bobbi Brown Blush Nudes Eye Shadow Palette. I will recommend it if you are looking for something really basic and handy to use. It is hard to go wrong with it.
Depending on how you see this and how large is your eye shadow collection. I can see this palette to be essential and fundamental for a regular person who wear eye shadows and own minimal makeup palettes. However, if you are not new to makeup, you probably have seen these shades more than enough in your own collection. I’m not if this $45 USD palette is still worth it in that situation.
I will rate this Bobbi Brown Blush Nudes Eye Shadow Palette as:
- Texture: 7/10
- Color payoff: 6/10
- Longevity on eye lid: 7.5/10
- Quality consistency among shades: 9/10
- Color scheme uniqueness: 4/10
- Affordability: 5/10
