(*affiliate) Hey Guys! These are the 2022 New Tom Ford eye color quads creme in 35 Rose Topaz and 36 Tiger Eye! These new cream formula from Tom Ford first debuted around early February 2022. There are 3 quads in this new line and I purchased 2 of them myself.

Tom Ford has come out with eye color quads in different formulas before. My favorite being his wet/dry formula. I have a couple of them in my vanity. Among them, Suspicion * (reviewed here) being my most used and loved one in the line.

Therefore, I’m really excited about this new cream formula. Hoping they will perform as well as the wet/dry formula!

As usual, these new Tom Ford eye color quad cremes has exactly the same luxury packaging as his all other eye quads. Although I wish they do something different with the packaging for different types of formulas, so that they are easily recognizable without opening the quads.

About the New TOM FORD eye color quad creme in 35 Rose Topaz and 36 Tiger Eye

Each of these new Tom Ford eye color quad creme retails for $89 USD (yes, they increased $1 USD in price from last year..). There are a total of 0.31 oz (9 g) of products in each quad. All of them are made in Italy.

The amount/presence of shimmer, satin and matte eyeshadows in each of these new cream quads are different.

For 35 Rose Topaz, 2 of the shades (soft nude and charcoal) are matte on the lid, and the other 2 shades, frosted beige and silver sparkle, are satin and shimmery sparkles respectively.

As for 36 Tiger Eye, the deep reddish brown shade is matte, while all others are shimmery (warm champagne, burnt coral and caramel). However, the shine from the shimmery shades in Tiger Eye is different from the sparkle you get from the shade silver sparkle in Rose Topaz.

And shadows in the last quad in this line, Smoky Quartz, are all matte cream shades.

According to Tom Ford, these new cream eyeshadows are “Infused with a pigment technology that combines lush emollients and mimics the structure of skin’s ceramides, Eye Color Crème long-wearing eyeshadows move with skin for a crease- and flake-resistant finish and high-impact intensity.”

Like the wet/dry formula from Tom Ford, these cream eyeshadow formulas are also talc free. If you’re sensitive to talc, beware that some of the powder formulas from Tom Ford’s eye color quads are mainly made of talc. I wish all eyeshadows can be free of talc in the near future!

You may refer to the list of ingredients in the description of these quads online here *.

Talc, parabens and BHT are not listed in the ingredients of these cream formula. There is also no smell to the eyeshadows.

For the formulation of these cream shadows, they are moderately creamy and are easy to pick up with fingers. I think the deep shades can also be picked up fairly easily with an eyeshadow brush. However, the lighter satin/shimmery shades are best used with finger for better intensity. The silver sparkle shade in Rose Topaz is gorgeous and show up very well on the lid with fingers or brush.

Although the shadows are very creamy, I’m fear that regularly using the shades with a finger will create a hard pan. I already feel that way in some of the shades, especially the ones in the Tiger Eye.

One thing I’m less excited about these quads then the wet/dry formula quads is that, all the shades swatched amazing on the arm, but not showing up too well, IMO, on the lid.

These shadows are long lasting on the eye lid and allows me to create a soft look.

I love how the shades in the new TOM FORD eye color quad creme in 35 Rose Topaz and 36 Tiger Eye swatched on my arm! All the shades showed up so beautifully and pigmented!

Although I think the 3 lighter shades in Tiger Eye look very similar in the pan, their swatches are more distinct from each other.

Rose Topaz is more cool tone than Tiger Eye, which is a warm palette.

You can see how much more sparkly and shiny is the silver sparkle shade in Rose Topaz than all other shimmers in both quads.

Since Tiger Eye reminds more of the color story from Suspicion, I also compared the swatches between them. They actually are not that similar on the skin. Tiger Eye leans more towards coral than Suspicion.

The wet/dry formula gives more shiny then the cream formula. Suspicion * is still more favorite quad among all the ones I own at this moment!

I used all the shades in each quad to create different eye looks for each of them.

For the look with Rose Topaz, I love how smokey it turned out! Although the dusty light pink is very pigmented in the swatch, it didn’t show up as strongly pink on the lid. The silver sparkle gives a beautiful and sparkly finish to the look.

For the look created using Tiger Eye, it was more subdue than I thought. I think this can be a nice day time quad which is workplace friendly. I loved the coral golden shade in the quad, I wished it show up more in the center of my lid.

Although the shades in Tiger Eye are special and not common in my collection, the resulting eye look didn’t reflect how special these shades are.

Final Thought

Overall, these new TOM FORD eye color quads creme are nice and very easy to use, they are a little bit lackluster compared to the other Tom Ford eye color quads, especially to the wet/dry formula.

The color stories of 35 Rose Topaz and 36 Tiger Eye are very wearable and elegant, but the eye looks created using these quads don’t give me the luxury feeling as earlier quads from Tom Ford.

I’m hoping Tom Ford will come out with different color stories for this cream formula. Ones that have shades more different in tones that reflect in the eye looks created.

For the price and the amount of different shades/looks that you get from one quad, I will not recommend these. They may worth if they are on sale.

I will rate these TOM FORD eye color quad creme in 35 Rose Topaz and 36 Tiger Eye as:

  • Texture: 8.5/10
  • Color payoff: 6/10
  • Longevity on eye lid: 8/10
  • Quality consistency among shades: 9/10
  • Color scheme uniqueness: 8/10
  • Affordability: 5/10
